Choose Asoke if…
you commute by MRT as well as BTS, want the most direct routes to Silom, Sathorn and Rama 9, and are happy with the traffic and noise of a major junction.

Rents, prices, unit sizes and the commute, side by side, from live listings.
See the numbersAsoke and Phrom Phong are one BTS stop apart but suit different renters. Asoke is the interchange: BTS and MRT meet at Terminal 21, which makes it the stronger choice for anyone commuting across the city, at the cost of traffic and noise. Phrom Phong is built around the EmQuartier and Emporium malls, Benjasiri Park and a long-established Japanese community, and has far more two- and three-bedroom listings.

Median asking prices from PropertySights listings, not completed rentals or sales. Each figure uses only the listings that qualify for it (that bedroom count, or a usable price and size) and shows a dash when fewer than 20 qualify; the grey line under a figure gives that count. The middle 50% runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile. Figures as of 3 November 2026.
A median moves with the mix of units listed right now, so two areas can share a median and still differ in building age, unit size and condition. A building deep in a soi lives very differently from one beside the station, and floor, furnishing and facilities can matter more than the area itself. Compare the actual buildings before treating an area figure as a guide to one unit.
BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit meet at the Asoke junction, so Silom, Sathorn, Rama 9 and Chatuchak are all reachable with at most one change, and Siam is four BTS stops away. Phrom Phong is one stop east on the BTS Sukhumvit line, five stops from Siam; reaching the MRT means riding one stop to Asok and changing there. Both stations connect directly to malls, and the side sois in both areas run long, so check the walk from any building to the station.

you want a larger two- or three-bedroom unit, Benjasiri Park and the malls by the station, one stop from the interchange.
